Mentoring Program

If you are committed to being a Nassau County Police Officer, there are organizations that are willing to help you succeed.

Select Fraternal Organizations of the Nassau County Police Department have partnered with the Department to create the NCPD’s Mentorship Program.  The Fraternal Organizations are comprised of Nassau County Police Department members who share similar cultural and/or religious backgrounds.  The Mentorship Initiative provides an opportunity to receive guidance and encouragement as applicants/recruits progress through the process of becoming a Nassau County Police Officer.

Nassau County Association of Women Police:
Fraternal organization comprised primarily of female police officers within Nassau County. ncawpmi@pdcn.org 

Nassau County Guardians Association:
The Guardian Association is comprised of African-American members, both sworn and civilian of the various law enforcement agencies within the County of Nassau.  ncguardiansmi@pdcn.org 

Nassau County Police Hispanic Society:
Fraternal organization comprised primarily of Department members and other Nassau County law enforcement members of Hispanic heritage. ncpdhispanicmi@pdcn.org 

LGTBQ+ of Nassau County:
This society is not only for members who identify themselves as LGBTQ+, but also for members who support the community.  With this society, we hope to support our LGTBQ members and our department’s relationship with the Nassau County LGTBQ+ community.
