The Homicide Squad is investigating a Serious Vehicular Accident involving a pedestrian that occurred on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at 3:26 pm in West Hempstead.
According to Detectives, a female pedestrian, 83, was walking eastbound on Hempstead Turnpike crossing Nassau Boulevard when she was struck by a 2016 Dodge Ram being operated by a 36-year-old male making a left hand turn onto Nassau Boulevard.
As a result of the collision, the female pedestrian suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital where she is currently listed in serious condition. The driver remained at scene. No further injuries were reported.
The investigation is ongoing.

The female victim of the above incident was pronounced by a hospital physician. She has been identified as Clytee Felder-Knight, 83 of Hempstead.
