The Public Information Office reports the details of a Fire that occurred on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 11:48 AM in Inwood.

According to Police, Fourth Precinct Officers responded to a residential fire on George Place. Upon arrival, Officers observed a working house fire. The Inwood Fire Department responded and extinguished the flames. One person sustained smoke inhalation and was treated at scene. Red Cross responded to assist four residents who were displaced due to substantial damage to the house. The Nassau County Fire Marshall and the Arson Bomb Squad responded to scene. The investigation is ongoing.
