The Third Squad reports on the Arrest of two males that occurred on Monday, July 22, 2024 in Floral Park for Scheme to Defraud.
According to Detectives, an investigation revealed that men illegally soliciting as unlicensed home improvement contractors for “Top Line Masonry” would offer to perform construction on homes owned primarily by the elderly and defraud the victims by falsely reporting/causing more damage. A 2012 White Ford F150 matching the description of the vehicles used in the scheme was observed by Floral Park Officers near the intersection of Revere Drive East and Revere Drive West in Floral Park. Following an investigation, the driver defendants David Young, 31 of 4419 Ludlow Street, Philadelphia and occupant Adam Turner, 25, homeless were placed under arrest without incident. No injuries reported at scene. The investigation is ongoing.

Subsequent to the investigation it was determined that both defendants were also responsible for similar incidents at two additional locations in Bellerose Terrace.
Both defendants are charged with three counts of Criminal Mischief 2nd degree, three counts of Scheme to Defraud 1st degree, Attempted Scheme to Defraud 1st degree, two counts of Conspiracy 5th degree, Grand Larceny 2nd Degree and three counts of Peddling/Soliciting. Additionally, defendant David Young is charged with Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd. They will both be arraigned on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at First District Court, located at 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
