The Fourth Squad reports the details of an Attempted Robbery that occurred on Monday, March 11, 2024 at 7:05 pm in Cedarhurst.
According to Detectives, a male victim, 68, parked his vehicle and was walking southbound on Bayview Avenue when he was approached by three unknown subjects. The subjects demanded the victim’s car keys and threatened to harm him if he did not comply. When the victim refused, a female subject struck the victim in the back multiple times. The victim began yelling for help and the three subjects fled scene eastbound on Monroe Street. The victim refused medical attention and no proceeds were reported.
The first subject is described as a male black, approximately 20 years old, 5’6” tall, wearing a black jacket, grey pants, a black hooded sweatshirt, face mask and was carrying a backpack.
The second subject is described as a male black, approximately 20 years old, 5’6” tall wearing a grey jacket, a black hooded sweatshirt, white pants, white sneakers, a face mask and was also carrying a backpack.
The third subject is described as a female black, approximately 20 years old, 5’2” tall, with a stocky build, long black hair and was wearing red pants with a black jacket.
