The Fourth Squad is investigating a burglary that occurred in North Long Beach on Sunday, June 16, 2024 at 3:06 a.m.
According to detectives, the manager of E Smoke & Beer, located at 4495 Austin Boulevard did contact police after an alarm was signaled at the location. He then viewed surveillance cameras which show an unknown male black suspect with a thin build, who is approximately six feet tall, use a rock to smash the front glass door of the business. He then entered the business and proceeded directly to the cash register, which he unlocked using the key that was left inside of it. He then emptied the tip jar which was located behind the counter the cash register was on. The suspect fled through the broken door in an unknown direction. The total loss for the incident is $2350.00 (USC) and $2500.00 for the broken door.
