First Squad Detectives are investigating a Vehicular Accident that occurred on Monday, October 14, 2024 at 7:15 pm in Uniondale.

According to detectives, a male pedestrian, 36 was crossing south to north on Front Street in the vicinity of Greengrove Avenue and was struck by a 2011 Nissan traveling westbound on Front Street.  As a result of the initial accident, the pedestrian was struck a second time by a 2017 Chevrolet traveling eastbound on Front Street.

The male suffered trauma to his head and body.  He was transported to an area hospital for treatment and evaluation.  He is listed in critical condition.

The male operator of the Nissan, 66, was not injured and remained at the scene.

The female operator of the Chevrolet, 41, was not injured and remained at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
