Fourth Squad Detectives report the arrest of a South Hempstead man for an Assault that occurred on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 1:02 pm in Oceanside.
According to detectives, the female victim, 28, was backing her 2011 Jeep out of a parking space when an unknown male operating a 2019 Nissan began honking at 3458 Long Beach Road. The male parked his vehicle behind the victim, blocking her from leaving. He exited his Nissan, banged on the driver’s side window while yelling at her. He proceeded to open the door, grab the victim’s arm and attempted to strike her with a closed fist. The subject let go of the victim and returned to his vehicle. At this point, the victim exited her vehicle to take a picture of subject’s license plate. The subject placed his vehicle in drive and struck the victim, which forced her onto the hood. The subject continued driving and the victim was eventually thrown from the hood of the car. John Ardolino, 41, of 333 Fern Street, was arrested without incident.
The female suffered neck and back pain. She was transported to an area hospital for evaluation and treatment.
Defendant Ardolino is charged with Assault 2nd Degree, Reckless Endangerment 2nd Degree, Menacing 3rd Degree and Leaving the Scene of an Incident. He will be arraigned on Saturday, November 10, 2024 at First District Court, Hempstead.
