The Fourth Squad reports an Arrest of a Far Rockaway man for an incident that occurred on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at 1:35 pm in North Lawrence.

According to Detectives, officers responded to the 5 Towns Shopping Center located at 253-01 Rockaway Turnpike for a domestic disturbance.  Defendant Ronald E. Bellamy, 25, of 1725 Village Lane was involved in a verbal argument with a female victim, 24, that escalated to a physical altercation resulting in the Defendant striking the victim in the face and forcefully taking her I-Phone and pocketbook before fleeing scene.

Upon Police arrival, and after a brief foot pursuit, Officers located the defendant and placed him into custody. Further investigation revealed the defendant had violated two active Orders of Protection.

Defendant Ronald E. Bellamy is charged with Robbery 3^rd Degree, Harassment 2^nd Degree, Grand Larceny 4^th Degree and two counts of Criminal Contempt 1^st Degree. He will be arraigned on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at First District Court, 99 Main Street Hempstead.
