The First Squad is investigating a Commercial Burglary that occurred on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 8:20 am in Uniondale.

According to detectives, a 42-year-old deli owner called 911 and stated an unknown person had entered the El Rinconcito Deli located at 624 Jerusalem Avenue while it was closed. First Precinct police arrived and it was observed that the front door glass had been shattered. After determining by police that the deli was clear and secure it was determined that an undisclosed amount of US currency was removed from the register.

There is no description of the subjects. The investigation is ongoing.
