The First Squad reports the arrest of an East Meadow man for an incident that occurred on Friday, June 28, 2024 at 11:05 PM in East Meadow.

According to Detectives, Defendant Oscar Aguilar, 31, of 1536 Prospect Avenue was involved in a verbal argument with a 42-year-old male victim at his residence. The argument escalated and the defendant slashed the victim’s left hand with a box cutter causing a serious laceration. Officers responded and placed defendant Oscar Aguilar under arrest without further incident. The victim was transported by a Nassau County Police Ambulance to a nearby hospital for treatment and is currently listed in stable condition.

Defendant Oscar Aguilar is charged with Assault 1^st Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4^th Degree. He will be arraigned on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at First District Court, 99 Main Street Hempstead.
