The Nassau County Police Department reports an arrest of a Coram woman for Driving While Intoxicated on Friday, May 10, 2024 at 9:36 PM in Seaford.
According to Police, Officers responded to a 911 call for a black car driving in the wrong direction on the Seaford Oyster Bay Expressway. During the investigation, officers observed the Black 2020 Kia SUV commit several Vehicle and Traffic Law Infractions and conducted a stop near exit 2 southbound. Officers approached the vehicle and observed the driver, defendant Kelly McKechnie-Goulding, 55, of 125 Avalon Pines Drive, with slurred speech, watery eyes, an odor of an alcohol emanating from her breath and to be unsteady on her feet resulting in positive results on the Standardized Field Sobriety Test. Defendant Kelly McKechnie-Goulding was placed under arrest without incident. No injuries were reported.
Defendant Kelly McKechnie-Goulding is charged with three counts of Driving While Intoxicated and multiple Vehicle and Traffic Infractions. Defendant Kelly McKechnie-Goulding will be arraigned on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at First District Court, located at 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
