The Homicide Squad is investigating a Fatal Vehicular Accident involving a pedestrian that occurred on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at 4:08 p.m. in Hempstead.

According to detectives, while attempting to cross in the vicinity of 33 Front Street, from the south side to the north side, a male pedestrian was struck by a 2004 Honda traveling westbound on Front Street.  The male, 27, suffered trauma to his head and body.  He was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced at 8:32 pm by a hospital physician.

The female operator, 20, remained at the scene.

The vehicle was brake and safety checked.

The investigation is ongoing.

     The above listed male victim has been identified as Jarrell Green, 27 of Hempstead.
