The Seventh Squad is investigating a Robbery that occurred in Massapequa on Friday, January 26, 2024 at 11:55 am.
According to detectives, a Seventh Precinct officer on patrol observed a gray Honda driving in reverse and knocking over a 43-year-old male victim. The male victim then jumped on the hood of the vehicle trying to prevent it from speeding away east on Jerusalem Avenue. An investigation revealed that the male victim arranged to sell a Rolex watch in front of his residence which was advertised on social media. The watch had a selling price of eight thousand dollars in US currency. After the subject inspected the watch, the subject agreed to purchase the watch and asked the victim to come over to his vehicle to receive payment. The victim attempted to enter the car at the passenger door but discovered it was locked. As the victim ran around back to the driver’s side door the subject sped the vehicle in reverse and knocked the victim to the ground. The subject left with the watch. The victim suffered lacerations to his right knee, left elbow and left hand. A Nassau County Police Medic treated the victim at the scene.
The subject is described as being male, black 5’10” tall, slim build, brown long dread style hair, 30 years of age, unknown clothing, gray Honda SUV with possible Connecticut reg plate.
