The Sixth Squad reports on a Shooting incident that occurred on Friday, May 10, 2024 at 6:40 PM in Manhasset.

According to detectives, police responded to a 911 call for shots fired in the vicinity of 65 Pond Hill Road. Upon arrival, police observed a dispensed shell casing lying on the ground.  Further investigation revealed that a male subject wearing unknown clothing was responsible for the shooting. The male subject then fled on foot in an unknown direction. There were no injuries reported. The investigation is ongoing.

After a thorough investigation, Sixth Squad Detectives arrested Shaunkim Abercrombie, 34, of 49 High Court. He is charged with Attempted Assault 1^st Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3^rd Degree and Reckless Endangerment 1^st Degree. He will be arraigned on Monday, June 10, 2024 at First District Court, 99 Main Street Hempstead.
