The Public Information Office reports the details of a Fire that occurred on Sunday, September 15, 2024 at 8:30 pm in East Rockaway.

According to police, officers responded to Atlantic Avenue for a house fire. Upon police arrival, all occupants of the home were safely outside of the residence.  The East Rockaway Fire Department responded to the scene and extinguished the fire.  The Nassau County Fire Marshal and Arson Bomb Squad also responded.  A male resident, 62, suffered from smoke inhalation and was transported to a local area hospital.  No further injuries were reported.
