The Public Information Office reports the details of a fire that occurred on Friday, January 19, 2024 at 5:50 pm in Merrick.

According to police, officers responded to a Central Parkway residence for a house fire. Merrick Fire Department responded to the scene and extinguished the flames.  The Nassau County Fire Marshal and Arson Bomb Squad Detectives also responded.

The house sustained substantial damage and residents of the home were displaced.  The Red Cross responded to assist with the displaced residents.  

No injuries were reported.

The investigation is ongoing.
