The First Squad reports the arrest of a Roosevelt man for an Assault that occurred on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 4:09 am in Uniondale.
According to Detectives, a First Precinct officer on patrol observed a large disturbance in front of 963 Nassau Road. Upon investigation it was determined that the defendant, Gender Membreno-Pineda, 27, of 7 West Roosevelt Avenue, was involved in a verbal dispute with a 25-year-old male victim. The dispute turned physical and the defendant slashed the victim with a boxcutter in the right forearm and upper chest area. The defendant was placed under arrest without incident. The victim was removed by a Nassau County Police Department Ambulance to a local hospital where he is in stable condition.
Defendant Membreno-Pineda is charged with Assault 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree and Criminal Contempt 2nd Degree. He will be arraigned on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
