The Fifth Squad reports the arrest of a female juvenile for an assault that occurred on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 4:41 pm in Lakeview.

According to Detectives, Officers responded for a female juvenile, 15, who had absconded from her residence without permission. Officers located the juvenile running in the middle of traffic and detained her for her safety. During the investigation, the juvenile became violent and combative causing a struggle to ensue. The juvenile did kick, scratch, spit and punch an officer causing his body-worn camera to break. One officer sustained an injury to his arm and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The female juvenile was placed into custody and transported to a local hospital for evaluation.

The Juvenile is charged with Assault 2^nd Degree, Resisting Arrest, Criminal Mischief 4^th Degree and Disorderly Conduct. She was released on an appearance ticket returnable to Nassau County Family Court on Thursday, March 28, 2024.
