The Gang Investigation Squad reports on the arrest of two people for the Criminal Possession of a Firearm that occurred on Monday, March 3, 2025 at 7:00 AM in Bethpage.
According to Detectives, the Nassau County Police Department assisted the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office and the Suffolk County Police Department with executing several search warrants in Nassau County for crimes committed in Suffolk County. While executing a search warrant at the Extended Stay America, located at 905 South Oyster Bay Road, a loaded Glock 43 9mm handgun was recovered and defendants Joshua Garrett, 20 of Amityville and Janea Wolfolk, 26 of Hempstead were placed under arrest without incident.
Both defendants are charged with the Criminal Possession of a Firearm. Defendant Joshua Garrett is additionally charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd degree. Defendant Janea Wolfolk was released on an Appearance Ticket returnable on Friday, March 14, 2025 at 1st District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead. Defendant Joshua Garret will be arraigned on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
