The Third Squad reports the arrest of a Rockville Centre man for an Assault that occurred on Friday, December 27, 2024 at 6:20 pm in East Garden City.

According to Detectives, Officers responded to the Roosevelt Field Mall located at 630 Old Country Road for a disturbance. Upon arrival, police were notified that a fight occurred in the food court which caused an influx of people to promptly exit the mall.

Subsequent to the investigation, officers located the Defendant Christopher Santana, 22, of 25 Millford Place who was attempting to reenter the mall carrying several bricks. Officers attempted to place the defendant under arrest, but the defendant became violent and combative and began spitting and biting officers. As a result, one officer suffered an injury to his left hand and was transported to a local area hospital for evaluation and treatment.

Defendant Christopher Santana is charged with Assault 2^nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4^th Degree, Resisting Arrest, Obstructing Governmental Administration 2^nd Degree and Disorderly Conduct. He will be arraigned on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at First District Court 99 Main Street Hempstead.
