
The Narcotics/Vice Squad reports the arrest of a Queens man for Sex Trafficking that occurred in the confines of Nassau County from July 2024 to February 2025.
According to Detectives, an investigation was conducted about possible prostitution occurring at various locations throughout Nassau County. After an extensive investigation, detectives located Defendant Jorge J. Ramos, 55, of 2574 42nd Street, Astoria and placed him under arrest without incident.
Defendant Jorge J. Ramos is charged with Sex Trafficking, Promoting Prostitution 2nd Degree and Promoting Prostitution 3rd Degree. He will be arraigned on Friday, February 21, 2025 at First District Court 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
In conjunction with Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Human Trafficking Task Force it was determined the defendant is an undocumented immigrant.
