The Homicide Squad reports the details of a Fatal Vehicular Accident involving a bicyclist that occurred on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 9:00 am in Syosset.
According to Detectives, a 51-year-old male bicyclist was traveling eastbound on the LIE South Service Road/South Marginal Road between exits 43 and 44 when he struck a legally parked tractor trailer. The bicyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene by a Nassau County Police Department Medic. No other injuries were reported. There is no criminality involved. The investigation is ongoing.
