The Public Information Office reports the details of a Fire that occurred on Sunday, December 15, 2024 at 5:11 pm in Lakeview.

According to police, officers responded to a Coventry Road residence for a house fire. Upon arrival, officers observed the home fully engulfed in flames.  The Lakeview Fire Department along with multiple other fire departments responded to the scene and extinguished the fire.  The Nassau County Fire Marshal and Arson Bomb Squad also responded.  The Red Cross was notified and responded to offer assistance to the displaced residents.  Four victims were transported to a local area hospital for smoke inhalation and one firefighter was transported for a head injury.

The investigation is ongoing.
