The Fifth Squad reports the arrest of a undomiciled female for an Assault that occurred on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at 1:25 a.m. in Elmont.

According to Detectives, defendant Latoya Dancy, 49, was arrested for an outstanding Nassau County warrant for a prior Grand Larceny and Resisting Arrest charge. One Officer sustained injuries during the course of the arrest as the defendant was violent and combative while resisting arrest. The Officer was transported to a local area hospital for treatment of her injuries.

Defendant Dancy is charged with Assault 2^nd Degree in addition to the warrant charges of Grand Larceny, and Resisting Arrest. She was arraigned on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at First District Court, 99 Main Street in Hempstead.
