The Arson/Bomb Squad reports a Fatal Fire that occurred on January 7, 2024 at 11:22 AM in Valley Stream.

According to Detectives, Fifth Precinct Officers responded to a residential fire located on Keller Street. Upon arrival, the Officers observed the house was fully engulfed in flames. The Valley Stream Fire Department responded to the scene to extinguish the flames and located an 18-year-old male inside. The victim was transported by a Nassau County Police Ambulance to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced by a hospital physician. One firefighter also sustained minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Fire Marshals and Arson Bomb Squad responded to scene. The investigation is ongoing.

The victim has been identified as Sarabraj Singh, 18 of India.
