The First Squad reports the arrest of a Baldwin man for an Assault that occurred on Monday, December 2, 2024 at 10:00 p.m. in Baldwin.

According to Detectives, Officers responded to a Bonnie Drive residence for a disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers encountered defendant Karlhentz Louissaint, 29, who was acting irate and began to attack them. Two Officers sustained injuries during the course of the arrest as the defendant was violent and combative while resisting arrest. Both Officers were transported to a local area hospital for treatment of their injuries.

Defendant Louissaint is charged with Menacing 3^rd Degree, Criminal Mischief 3^rd Degree, two counts of Assault 2^nd Degree, Resisting Arrest, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4^th Degree. He will be arraigned on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at First District Court, 99 Main Street in Hempstead.
