The Fifth Squad reports the arrest of a male juvenile for an Assault that occurred on Friday, January 24, 2025 at 12:30 PM in Valley Stream.

According to detectives, the defendant, a 17 year old male juvenile was inside the Macy’s store located at 1000 Green Acres Mall where he got into an argument with a 17 year old male victim. The argument escalated, the defendant took out a knife and stabbed the victim in the arm and back. The defendant then fled from the scene. Responding officers located the defendant nearby and placed him under arrest without incident. The victim was taken to an area hospital in stable condition.

The defendant is charged with Assault 2^nd Degree, Burglary 2^nd Degree and Criminal Mischief 3^rd Degree. He will be arraigned on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
