The Fifth Squad reports on the arrest of three males for a Robbery that occurred on Friday, January 31, 2025 at 9:00 PM in West Hempstead.

According to Detectives, a taxi operated by a 21-year-old male victim was transporting three males near the vicinity of June Place and Theresa Avenue in West Hempstead. Upon arrival of the location, the three males got into a physical altercation with the driver and money from the center console of the victim’s vehicle was taken before all three fled on foot. Defendant Chance Richardson, 19 of 21 Sunset Road, Valley Stream and two male juveniles, ages 16 and 17, were located a short time later and placed under arrest without incident. 

All three defendants are charged with Robbery 2^nd degree, defendant Chance Richardson is additionally charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Defendant Chance Richardson will be arraigned on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead. The two juveniles will also be arraigned on Saturday, February 1, 2025 in the Youth Section of First District Court.
