Narcotics/Vice Squad Detectives report the arrest of a Queens man for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance that occurred on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at 3:20 pm in Elmont.

According to detectives, an investigation into a fatal overdose of a Nassau County resident, led to the arrest of Defendant Keith Turner, 59, of 100-49 222^nd Street.  Detectives placed the defendant under arrest without incident.  Subsequent to the investigation, the following illegal drugs were recovered: pills believed to be Oxycodone and a white powdery substance believed to be cocaine.   A loaded .45 handgun and additional ammunition was also recovered.

Defendant Turner is charged with two (2) counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3^rd Degree, Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3^rd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Firearm.  He will be arraigned on Thursday, March 20, 2025 at First District Court, Hempstead.
