The First Precinct reports the arrest of a Brooklyn man during a Quality-of-Life Initiative that was conducted on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at 8:00 pm in Baldwin.
Officers responded to the Baldwin Bowl and Lounge located at 2407 Grand Avenue; the investigation revealed the business was operating without a valid New York State liquor license. Officers also observed two (2) gambling machines present inside the establishment. The Town of Hempstead Buildings Department issued the owner multiple summons and the location was boarded, locked and secured.
The owner, Defendant William Shasho, 48, of 2416 National Drive was charged with Possession of a Gambling Device, Places of Public Assembly: License Requirements and had two previous active warrants from Nassau County. He will be arraigned on Friday, April 4, 2025 at First District Court 99 Main Street Hempstead.
