The Second Squad reports the arrest of a undomiciled Hicksville man for an Attempted Robbery that occurred on Sunday, April 6, 2025 at 3:30 a.m. in Hicksville.
According to Detectives, a 54-year-old male victim was walking southbound on Broadway towards the parking lot of Guru Nanak Darbar of Long Island, located at 11 South Broadway. As the victim turned the corner, an unknown male approached him and stated: “Give me everything you have!”, while holding a red brick in his hand. The victim pushed the defendant, Malkit Singh Gill, 52, and ran from the scene to his home. Two hours later the victim again attempted to visit Guru Nanak Darbar of Long Island and the defendant was still present. The victim called 911 and the defendant was placed under arrest without further incident.
Defendant Malkit Singh Gill is charged with Attempted Robbery 3rd degree and Menacing 2nd degree. He will be arraigned on Monday, April 7, 2025 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
