The Fourth Squad reports the arrest of a Rosedale man for an incident that occurred on Friday, April 4, 2025 at 12:10 pm in North Lawrence.
According to detectives, Defendant Refugio De La Cruz, 44, of 154-71 Brookville Boulevard entered Target located at 345 Rockaway Turnpike. The defendant did conceal merchandise inside his jacket and proceeded to pass all points of purchase without rendering payment before exiting the store. After a thorough investigation, officers located the defendant and placed him under arrest without incident. No injuries were reported.
The Defendant Refugio De La Cruz is charged with Petit Larceny and Burglary 3rd Degree. He will be arraigned Saturday, April 5, 2025 at First District Court 99 Main Street, Hempstead. Further investigation revealed the defendant violated a no trespassing order and has an active Nassau County Bench Warrant.
