The Eighth Precinct reports four arrest during the “Project 21” initiative, which targets the sale of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products to minors. The initiative was conducted on Monday, July 22, 2024 at 6:05 PM in Nassau County.
According to Officers, the Problem Oriented Policing (POP) Unit, with the assistance of underage agents, conducted an investigation and as a result of this operation, the following individuals were arrested:
- Paul Martino, 19 of 20 Montana Avenue, Bellmore sold products to a minor at Conv N Cigars, located at 574 Stewart Avenue, Bethpage
- Anil Bansal, 51 of 20 Montana Street, Hicksville, sold products to a minor at Ulta, located at 3300 Hempstead Turnpike, Levittown
- Naveen Nfn, 24 of 308 Steward Avenue, Bethpage, sold products to a minor at Puff Kulture, located at 404 Hempstead Turnpike, Bethpage
- Mahendrakumar Patel, 39 of 9249 Golden Street, Flushing, sold products to a minor at Evolve, located at 611 Main Street, Farmingdale
All four defendants are charged with Unlawfully Dealing with a Minor and were issued Appearance Tickets returnable on Thursday, September 5th, 2024 to First District Court, located at 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
