The Eighth Squad reports on the arrest of a Levittown man for an Assault that occurred on Monday, April 21, 2025 at 11:40 AM in Levittown.
According to Detectives, officers responded to a disturbance at a residence located on Wolcott Road for a male that was verbally threatening himself and others. Upon arrival, officers conducted an investigation and determined that the male, defendant Nicholas Wennick, 32 of 96 Wolcott Road needed to be transported to a nearby hospital for an evaluation. Officers escorted defendant Nicholas Wennick to the ambulance where he became verbally and physically aggressive. As officers attempted to place defendant Nicholas Wennick under arrest, one sustained injuries during the course of the arrest as the defendant was violent and combative while resisting arrest. Defendant Nicholas Wennick was transported by a Nassau County Police Ambulance to a nearby hospital for assessment. The injured officer sustained non-life threating injuries and was also transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Defendant Nicholas Wennick is charged with Assault 2nd degree, Menacing 3rd degree and Obstructing Government Administration 2nd degree. He will be arraigned when medically practical.
