NASSAU COUNY POLICE K-9 & MOUNTED UNIT GRADUATION 

Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman, Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder and the Nassau Police Foundation announce that the Nassau County Police Department’s K-9 Unit & Mounted Unit have three new canine dogs and three new horses graduating from an intense training program.   

K9’s EJ, Winchester and Karkho, as well as horses Scout, Chief and Patriot, donated by the Nassau Police Foundation, have each been trained to specialize in narcotics, tracking missing persons, evidence recovery, criminal apprehension, crowd control, surveillance duties and community relations.
