The Nassau County Police Department reports the arrest of a Maryland man for Criminal Trespassing that occurred on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 1:00 pm in East Meadow.

According to police, Nassau County police units were patrolling inside the Cricket World Cup event being held at Eisenhower Park located at 1899 Park Boulevard when the defendant Ashwin Godker, 31 of 341 Alfandre Mews, Gaithersburg was observed jumping over a fence and entering the playing field without permission. Godker continued to run out onto the field towards the players at which time Nassau County police officers were able to place him into police custody without incident. There were no injuries reported.

Ashwin Godker is charged with Criminal Trespass 3rd Degree. He will be arraigned on Sunday, June 2, 2024 in First District Court 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
