The Arson Bomb Squad reports the details of a residential Fire that occurred on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at 5:55 pm in Elmont.

According to detectives, officers responded to a house fire located on Froehlich Place.  The Elmont and Malverne Fire Departments responded to the scene and extinguished the flames.  The fire caused extensive damage to the home and spread to a neighboring house’s detached garage.  The Nassau County Fire Marshal and Arson Bomb Squad Detectives responded to the scene. A male resident, 58, was evacuated from the home safely and no injuries were reported.

The investigation is ongoing.
