The Homicide Squad reports the details of a Fatal Aided that occurred on Friday, August 16, 2024 at 7:02 PM in South Farmingdale.

According to detectives, officers responded to a 6^th Avenue residence for a 1-year- old male child who was not breathing from an apparent drowning accident in a swimming pool. When officers arrived, the aided was already removed from the pool and CPR was being administered.  Officers, a Nassau County Ambulance Supervisor and Farmingdale Fire Department Personnel continued medical treatment on scene.   The aided was rushed to a nearby hospital and was pronounced at 7:47 pm by a hospital staff.

The investigation is ongoing.
