The First Squad reports on the arrest of a male that occurred on Monday, October 14, 2024 at 4:24 PM in Uniondale for Forcible Touching.
According to Detectives, a male subject was at the Stop and Shop located at 2160 Merrick Mall, Merrick on Monday, July 8, 2024. While inside the store, the subject did forcibly touch a 36-year-old female victim before fleeing the store in an unknown direction. Following an investigation, defendant Delano Brathwaite, 27, homeless was identified as the subject and on Monday, October 14, 2024 was located in Uniondale and placed under arrest without further incident. Defendant Delano Brathwaite was also found to be in possession of several credit cards that did not belong to him. Investigation is ongoing.
Defendant Delano Brathwaite is charged with five counts of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th degree, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5th degree and Forcible Touching. He was arraigned on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at First District Court, located at 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
