The Third Squad reports the arrest of a New Cassel woman for an Assault that occurred on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 10:00 am in New Cassel.
According to detectives, officers responded to a Whittier Street residence for a disturbance. Upon arrival, police determined that Defendant Jennifer Carrera Aguilar, 28, of Westbury, entered the bedroom of a 35-year-old victim and threatened her with a knife. The victim then attempted to dial 911 and Defendant Aguilar slapped the phone out of her hand to prevent her from calling.
While officers attempted to place the defendant into custody, she resisted and refused to comply with verbal commands, causing an officer to sustain an injury. The officer was transported to a local area hospital for evaluation and treatment.
Defendant Jennifer Carrera Aguilar is charged with Assault 2nd Degree, Menacing 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree, Criminal Mischief 4th Degree, Obstructing Governmental Administration 2nd Degree and Resisting Arrest.
