The First Squad reports the details of two Robberies which occurred on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 in Freeport.
According to detectives, at approximately 6:00 P.M. a tall, light skinned male Hispanic, wearing dark clothing, a mask and gloves entered Crosstown Liquor located at 57 S. Main Street, armed with a silver semi-automatic handgun. He demanded money to which the female victim, 52, complied. The suspect fled in an unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of cash. The victim was alone in the store at the time of the incident. No injuries were reported.
At 6:40 P.M. the same suspect entered Sunoco gas station located at 279 Atlantic Avenue and demanded cash. The male victim, 55, refused, swatting at the gun. The suspect fled in an unknown direction with no proceeds. There was one customer in the store with the victim at the time of the incident. No injuries were reported.
