The First Squad is investigating a Robbery that occurred in Roosevelt on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at 4:10 am.
According to detectives, a 57 year old male driver for All Island Taxi was waiting to pick up a fare on Matson Road when he was approached by two unknown male blacks that pointed a black hand gun while demanding cash. Both subjects then removed and undisclosed amount of US currency from his jacket pocket and a cell phone that was in the center console. Both subjects then fled on foot north on Matson Road. There were no injuries reported.
Subject one is described as being 18-19 years of age, blue hooded sweat shirt, and blue jeans.
Subject two is described as being 18-19 years of age, blue / white stripe hooded sweat shirt, and blue jeans.
