First Squad detectives are investigating an Attempted Robbery that occurred on July 29, 2013 at 10:20 pm in Baldwin.
According to detectives, the 48 year old male victim, while employed as a taxi driver, picked up a fare on Woodcleft Avenue in Freeport and drove him to Grand Avenue near Brooklyn Avenue, Baldwin. The male then demanded the victim’s money and after refusing the subjects order, he continued to drive to the Baldwin train station. While the taxi was still moving, the subject jumped out and fled southbound on Milburn Avenue.
The subject was described as a male white in his late 30’s or early 40’s, 5’8” tall with dark slicked back hair. He was wearing black shorts, a black T shirt and had tattoos on his arms.

The First Squad reports the arrest of David Kunen, 38, of 10 West Broadway, Long Beach for the above crime. The defendant was arrested on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at 8:00 am in Atlantic Beach. He is being charged with Robbery 3rd Degree and will be arraigned on Friday, October 16, 2015 at First District Court, Hempstead
