The Major Case Bureau reports the details of three arrests for a series of crimes that occurred throughout Nassau County in the month of November.
According to detectives, on Wednesday, 12/10/14 at 12:40 A.M., Bureau of Special Operations Police officers stopped a vehicle on Fulton Ave. in Hempstead, and found the occupants, Selvin Esquivel, 33, of 571 Clinton St., Uniondale; Carlos Guzman-Lobo, 23, of 266 Wallace St., Freeport; and Fredy Cortez-Sandoval, 24, of 135 William St., Hempstead, to be in possession of a weapon. Subsequent investigation by detectives from the Robbery Squad, Third Squad and First Squad revealed that the defendants were responsible for multiple crimes including robbery, burglary and forgery in Nassau County.
Esquivel is being charged with Criminal Possession Weapon 3rd Degree, two counts of Criminal Possession Forged Instrument 2nd Degree and several violations of the Vehicle and Traffic Law. Guzman-Lobo is being charged with Criminal Possession Weapon 3rd Degree, three counts of Robbery 1st Degree and False Personation. Cortez-Sandoval is being charged with Criminal Possession Weapon 4th Degree, five counts of Robbery 1st Degree and Burglary 1st Degree. All three defendants will be arraigned on Thursday, 12/11/14 in First District Court, Hempstead.
