Third Squad detectives report the arrest of a Queens man for three burglaries that occurred in New Hyde Park on August 27, August 29 and September 29, 2015.
According to detectives, Aziz Danish, 29, of 156-34 71st Ave., Flushing, entered LA Fitness located at 1111 Marcus Ave., on the above listed dates, went into the men’s locker room and removed wallets containing cash and credit cards from locked lockers. The defendant is not a member of the health club. The defendant then went to the Apple Store located at 630 Old County Rd., on the same dates, and used the stolen credit cards to make purchases in excess of $4,900.
Subsequent investigation by detectives led to the arrest of Danish on Friday, November 13, 2015 on Hempstead Ave. in Queens Village. At the time of his arrest, the defendant was found to be in possession of marijuana. Danish is being charged with three counts of Burglary 3rd Degree, three counts of Forgery 2nd Degree, three counts of Identity Theft 1st Degree, three counts of Falsify Business Records 1st Degree, Defraud 1st Degree, Identity Theft 3rd Degree, Petit Larceny (Attempt) and Unlawful Possession Marijuana. He will be arraigned on Saturday, 11/14/15 in First District Court, Hempstead.
